For many years now, the Hungarian State Opera has contributed to the success of one of the noblest social events in Hungary, one whose 200-year history had thus far remained unbroken: the Anna Ball held in Balatonfüred each summer. And while the current situation means that the ball has been cancelled for this year, this does not mean that the audience at the picture-perfect lakeside resort town will have to miss out on every single programme.
